Brenda.. This is very helpful information.. It looks like the "cap size" is the same.. What do the grooves do and/or when is either cap used?
Many thanks,
Margaret

We have 2 different types from  PSI www.psix.com.

=B7         Part #38439C4/RC vented white 38mm/439 co-poly closure with Circumvent 4 foam liner (F-217)

=B7         Part #38439C4G/OI vented white 38mm/400 co-poly closure with Circumvent 4 grooved-back foam liner (F-217-3 grooved)

About 5 years ago we got these into the Chemical Storage room for sale to the researchers.  Our Research Safety group also has some available for when we do inspections and find folks who are generating piranha, for example, or if our Waste group has a need for them - we just provide a couple at that time to meet an immediate need.

Does anyone have a source for the Circumvent pressure releasing caps to fit standard 4L bottles?
