Even though the material may not have a shelf-life, compressed gas cylinders onsite for a few years should be a concern. “Most” cylinders need to be retested every 5 years. We date
cylinders when they arrive and try to make sure they are used or returned yearly.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide cylinders
Greetings listers,
Has anyone ever heard of a limited shelf-life for cylinders of nitrogen dioxide or nitric oxide?
Both are toxic oxidizers..
Many thanks,
Chris
