Dear Ralph, Chemistry Ambassador,
Here are two thoughts on how you can make a difference in communicating chemistry to the public:
Need ideas for Chemists Celebrate Earth Day, which is April 22? Check out the resources at www.acs.org/CCED, and also have a look at what some ACS Student Chapter volunteers are doing to engage youngsters in green chemistry outreach. Watch the video at http://youtu.be/WKablXLSaJs, share it on your social media networks, and let us know what you’re doing to share chemistry with the public on Earth Day!
Also, you can share four science toolkits with your friends, family and community. These toolkits are designed to help members communicate about important challenges nationally and globally, each of which involves chemistry as a critical component. These toolkits offer resources, talking points, facts and expert testimonials to help you communicate more effectively about chemistry’s vital role in these subjects.
Click on the links to share the tookits: Sustainable Water, Sustainable Energy, Climate Science, and Federal Science Funding.
Once again, we want to hear from you. Please share your feedback by emailing us at chemistryambassadors**At_Symbol_Here**acs.org.
As a Chemistry Ambassador, you can make a difference.
Sincerely,
Nancy McCormick-Pickett
