Subject: Re: [DCHAS-L] Question About MCHM

I suspect the MCHM "licorice" odor may reappear in the spring (or even in the summer!) as temperatures rise. Since it is an oil soluble chemical, some portion of the spilled material may be clinging to sediments & foliage along the river banks, and may only leach out with rising temperatures. Among other properties, I wonder what the odor threshold is for MCHM? It could be the nauseous gift that keeps on giving!
