Do you mean "new style" in terms of the flow head or the sink mounting?
In my personal opinion, the flow head benefits listed in their literature appear to be nothing more than a marketing gimmick to differentiate their product. I find it *very* difficult to believe there is any quantifiable medical benefit over their head versus traditional configurations.
If you were referring to the mounting, these auto flow swing models are really nice because they free the sink for other use. They can be mounted on the wall, the back of the sink or on the side depending on model. Disclaimer once again: Safety Emporium is my company:
I strongly recommend looking at ADA-compliant (barrier free) safety stations, eye washes, and showers. You should have at least one such unit available as minimum, with or without a drip basin:
The ADA lines of showers and eyewashes are available in recessed/hidden configurations that are much neater and "clinical" than the exposed piping of traditional systems. But then again, they are considerably more expensive, too.
If you would like contact info for places that have installed any Guardian model of interest, I may be able to provide that - contact me off list.
Regards,
Rob Toreki

Our medical group is building some new labs and they are interested in using this new style eyewash. Have any of you installed this? If so, are you happy with it?
thanks!
