We have no central receiving-things get put into an inventory and taken out "by hand". Researchers keep their own inventory. Quartzy works in "groups". Until Quartzy we had an Excel spreadsheet that I updated once per year so there was no real system, but I think bar codes would be overkill for me. I am hoping that researchers will buy into the system - there is a mechanism for groups to let other groups see their inventory. Eventually, I am hoping that we can all see and share chemicals from each other. I originally started using Quartzy just to track my orders because we also had no system for this but I like it for inventory as well.
Do you have a central chemical receiving/stockroom? If not, how do you keep track of what goes into the inventory and what is emptied/discarded?Leslie

As a smallish private college with 1500 students, we have only around 1800 chemical entries, and one main storage location along with four minor locations.
Two questions:
How much does this commercial system cost?
Does anyone have a link to the company's website?
I'm very interested in learning more.

Ann-Marie,
We've been using the software for about six years and are very happy with it. The reports are very flexible and easy to create.
The software support is fantastic!

Dear Members,
We are reviewing the ChemSW CISPro Inventory system for our University.
We would like some input (pro & cons) from anyone using this system.
Thanks for your help,
