Debbie, Oh my. Thank you. Some comments:
1. As an IATSE union biz rep,, should I be watching a nonunion film production?
2. Exhaust stacks, trusses, etc., have always been beautiful to me.
3. How I wish most artists worked with paper and glue. I could retire.
4. How I wish more artists used film to document their work rather than keeping all of the original art to stuff our museum collection areas with flammable and toxic art materials and hazardous work for art conservators--especially the work from artists who experiment with polymer materials, paints, and products that were never intended to last. Digital and film materials are easier to conserve.
5. Putting art on the Internet for all to see is what art should be about. Instead, what passes for art today goes to the highest bidder and/or we pay to see it in some exhibition. Give it back to the people..
6. For hundreds of years, most art had a message--political, religious, ethical, etc. This man gets that, too. Most of the art students I train in colleges idolize drug taking idiots like Andy Warhol and their life plan is to be rich and famous.
5. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
