Air quality standards for chemistry buildings are the same as for any other workplace and can be based on OSHA or more restrictive standards. Measuring air quality depends on
the chemicals being used in the building and the type of concerns that inspire the sampling. There is often a compromise necessary between the most desirable sampling protocol and what is technically and economically available. As others have indicated, designing
a sampling plan requires facility and industrial hygiene expertise as well as local information.
