Ruth Ann,
For question 2, we only allow cleaners in the lab when laboratory personnel are present. The cleaning staff have to be supervised at all times and are provided appropriate PPE for the space by the laboratory personnel.

Good Afternoon,
I would appreciate your wisdom on the following matters, as I've encountered different philosophies.
*1. Is it acceptable to move chemicals (5-L bottles, barrels, etc.) up and down a flight of stairs if an elevator is not available?
Thank you!
Ruth Ann

*2. What are recommendations for allowing cleaning personnel in labs to mop, empty trash, etc.? Should it only be done by lab personnel who are trained in safety ? Do you require training sessions for housekeeping staff?
