I think there are lots of good aspects to this video. The video does have young people and good videography so maybe it would get through some thick skulls.... and it is brief and to the point so fits in with some attention spans...
Obviously from all the chatter about how it doesn't show safety goggles, it isn't appropriate for a chemistry lab. However, I for one am not convinced that a splash in a biology lab is any different from a splash in a chemistry lab.... Think about phenol/chloroform for example.
One more point: the bottle that was spilled appears to be dangerously close to the edge of the bench. Surely we all still learn in our early years that kids' drinks are better not placed close to the edge of a table... and for those of us who cook, we keep bottles of critical fluids close to hand, but at the back of the "bench". Some common sense still seems to be required in the lab.
