Energy Outreach Coordinator

If so, this is a great opportunity for you to be part of a dedicated and forward-thinking energy management team. This position will:
- Serve as the front door to the campus community to educate and promote conservation behaviors. Coordinate laboratory air flow, laboratory fume hood, plug load, and lighting behavior conservation initiatives within the overall Energy Conservation Initiative. Develop campus outreach programs to engage users in energy efficient behaviors.

- Serve as program administrator and manage content on the department, division and university web sites and social media, and lead the development of new interactive features to promote conservation. Manage the development and use of building energy dashboards and all other utility data system modules.

- Direct communications with users in the departments across campus to reduce run time on space controls and central air handling equipment, inform buying of office/laboratory equipment, and increase the number of ideas we receive that result in conservation focused changes.

- This is a 3 year term position. The ideal candidate will have:

- Bachelor's degree in a field that would support communications, project management and coordination, and outreach in energy conservation or other formal four-year training program and some related work experience.

- Demonstrated knowledge of standard and specialized software programs used for outreach (web based) and communications (email, letters, spreadsheets, databases). Analytical and reasoning skills involving energy unit costs and simple payback analyses.

- Must be self-directed, have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
