Hi Wayne,
Before even thinking about sampling you should ask a few questions to see if
anyone else in the building is having these problems, does your colleague
have this problem in other buildings or environments, when did your
colleague start noticing the symptoms, did he regularly go into the building
with no symptoms in the past. This may give you an idea of a time frame to
look for changes in the building e.g., water leaks, remodeling, new
equipment, HVAC issues, activities around the outside the building, etc.
Sampling, other than CO2 and humidity sampling that isn't well planned and
focused on specific issues can create more problems than it will answer and
cost a lot of money.

Hello all,
Recently, a colleague of mine is experiencing symptom of irritation, itching,
and allergic reaction every time he enters one of the buildings at our
workplace. This is a music building. Do you know what kind of air sampling
I should conduct? Any suggestions on how I approach this problem?
