No, they are not redundant.
A PI is often but not always a faculty member. Could be a Research Associate, for example.

Are there documented cases of a person being a “PI” and NOT being a faculty member. That is, a “research professor” is still a faculty member. Asked another way, is the wording
“faculty and Principal Investigators” redundant?
