We might forget something, but Google never does.


Lots of info on non-rhyming limericks, those with more than 5 lines, etc.  Just google 'limerick' or (as I did) the first line of the verse Alan provided...


But here's the verse:


     A young meter-reader named Peter

     While looking around for a meter

     By a leak struck a light,

     Then he rose out of sight.

     And as anyone who knows anything about poetry can plainly see, the

     explosion also destroyed the meter.



I suggest a limerick-fest at the next DCHAS social event....
