water treatment facility, in Sydney's south, but evacuated residents
have been told to stay away until the fire is completely
extinguished.

A fire is
burning at the Pueblo Chemical Depot east of Pueblo. The Depot stores
thousands of mortars containing obsolete mustard agent, a chemical
weapon not used in decades.
The fire started when a power
line blew down. A spokesman at the Depot says it is five to six miles
from any chemical storage in an isolated area and burning to the
northeast. The Chemical Depot has its own fire department, which is
being assisted by workers from the Transportation Technology
Center.
In its current direction is would pass by the
bunkers which store the mustard agent. Chuck Sprague said each storage
bunker, or igloo, is surrounded by a large area of gravel which would
stop a grass fire.
