Kevin:

I agree with those who advise you to be familiar with the lab standard.  I took the exam in or around 2000, shortly after it became available.  I admit that I did not study for the exam and was surprised that the majority of questions were about the regulation as opposed to chemistry or specifically clinical chemistry.  (I found out about the certification through my registration as a Medical Technologist rather than through ACS or my industrial hygiene certifications, so I was expecting clinical chemistry as a major component.)  Since I was very familiar with the regulation, I had no problem passing.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] CHO Exam

Greetings All,

I am considering taking the NRCC-CHO exam this coming summer possibly.  Does anyone have any study-aid suggestions that they found useful?  Any and all suggestions for preparing and taking the exam would be greatly appreciated; especially from anyone that has taken it in recent years.

Thank you for any advice you may give,

KB
