< div style='font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000' >OK, we agree that the drain inside the berm won't contain much of the show er water, and that the berm is actually required so that a spill elsewhere won't reach the drain.  Nor will any other liquid on the floor outside the berm reach the drain.  What, if anything, is supposed to go down this drain?  

Seems to me you skip the berm and just fill the drain with concrete.

Sorry everyb ody, but you are mixing up two ideas. They asked for the 1=" berm to prevent a chemical spill elsewhere in the lab from g aining access to the sewer system. The idea of capturing shower water for disposal as hazardous waste is a different idea.
