That would really depend
on the intended use.
For example, if the
material is going to be distilled or otherwise concentrated, the
peroxide concentration could increase many times and rise to dangerous
levels. Any solvent with detectable levels should have to be
pre-treated to remove all traces of peroxide before
distillation.
If the solvent was going to be
used to elute materials on an activated alumina column, then minor
levels of peroxide would not concern me as they would be adsorbed on the
alumina, albeit in active form. Note, however, that if the levels
were high or the quantity of solvent run through the column was large,
then the alumina could contain significant levels of peroxides and have
to be treated before disposal.
