We incorporate safety an d other training into our monthly unit staff meetings. For mandatory training, such as Employee Right-To-Know (the MN version of HAZCOM), we hold one make-up sess ion. If the staff members miss that as well, it becomes a discipline issue. We h ave, however, given a few one-on-one sessions when the absences have been unavoi dable, such as for a fatality investigation or military duty.

I am wondering how others address employees “blowing-off” safety training.  There always seem to be th e few employees that invariably are no shows for the trainings.
