There are lots of reasons for not allowing head set radios, etc. in a work place. Most can play over 90 dBA and so can contribute to hearing loss (which you would have to pay for ). (There are a few which do not play over 85 dBA if you check.) Users can not hear alarms, back up signals, etc. Users can get distracted. Generally, in the automotive industry, they are not allowed.
