Mary,
I have always cautioned against using “Canned” or “Template” CHP’s. You can use them as a guide, but always write the plan to fit your needs and facility. In preparing a CHP you are actually writing the law as it applies to your facility. Everything listed or noted in what you have in your CHP must be adhered to and done. You need to go through the CHP from other sources and see that you actually plan to do whatever is written. You also need to do an annual review to see that any changes you have made are covered in the plan and if you say you do annual training on the plan you actually do it and can verify.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Chemical Hygiene Plan
Thanks for all of the great resources I have received on this.
I just want to be clear that although OSHA requires that we have a Chemical Hygiene Plan, there are no specific requirements or format for the plan. If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know.
