Check out a recent addit ion to our website: http://safetyservices.ucdavis.edu/env ironmental-health-safety/reproductive-safety-1/reproductive-safety  ; There are some forms, information and links to other resources, etc. We don’t have a specific training on this topic, but do provide this website for supervisors and employees of child-bearing age. For radiation workers , there’s an elaborate process, required by the NRC and the conditions of our broad s cope license.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Reproductive Health and Safety in a Biotech
Hello Al l,
I’ m wondering if anyone has dealt with training scientists (chemists and biologists) on potential reproductive hazards in the laboratory.
I work f or a biotech company, and currently we have 7 pregnant employees (110 employees total). All of these employees are in the medicinal chemistry group. It has been my experience that the pregnant employees are very cautious and knowledgeable about the hazards they are working with, however not all of t heir co-workers are.
My compa
ny would
like me to present a training or seminar of some sort that educates and inf
orms
all laboratory workers of the reproductive hazards they work with.
Has anyo ne else done this before? Any resources or suggestions?
Thank yo u.
