I would caution that with high temperatures, often humidity is higher. Sto ck bottles that were free flowing powders can become one hard unusable lump .-The college then would have the additional cost of hazardous waste dispos al and chemical replacement. If containers of volatile organics are not s eal well, the vapors escape and odors increase. Last summer Siena was on an energy saving program, but the stockrooms and a nimal care rooms were exempt. The campus air conditioning was turned off on Thursday night and offices were closed at noon on Fridays. Th ey want to decommission their science building from Fri-Sun every week over the summer to save on air conditioning costs. They will set temperature co ntrol so that it will not get higher then 90F and electric would stay on. Teaching labs will run Mon-Thurs so set up will need to be scheduled accord ingly. Are there any regulations which specify required environmental con ditions for the chemical storage room? Thank You
