The chemists at my facility were just using safety glasses to dispense liquid nitrogen and have just been told they will need to switch to face shields. I got a few in and my favorite for comfort, quality and ease of use is the Uvex Bionic Shield. The chemists involved have not come around yet to try on the samples, so I am not sure this is the one they will choose. I am not surprised that I found the Uvex product to be good, another member of this email group had recommended their googles, I consequently ordered a pair and found them to be wonderful. I do look forward to other responses on this topic, there very well could be a better face shield which I missed, and if so I would like to give it a try. As someone who is fairly new to the safety field, I have found this email group to be a incredible learning experience. Thank you to everyone who participates. I've been searching the web and it's hard to find a specific recommendation for a face shield to be worn with cryogenics. I don't see any guidelines on OSHA that point to any particulars and nothing on the Cryogenic Society of America's site either. I would appreciate your assistance. Does anyone have any favorites they'd like to recommend? - Ralph Ralph Stuart, CIH Environmental Safety Manager University of Vermont Environmental Safety Facility 667 Spear St. Burlington, VT 05405 rstuart**At_Symbol_Here**uvm.edu fax: (802)656-5407
