I don't know if we 'love' it, but we use Chemwatch. http://www.chemwatch.net/ I'm afraid I don't know how much it costs as it is a university wide tool provided by central. We seem to find most things and it has label making, manifest generation and a multilingual 'mini MSDS' capability (very useful for visiting researchers whose first (and second!) language is not English). I can send you examples if you like. Also more common chemicals have 'chemwatch gold standard' MSDS, which are mini thesis things that cover toxicology, environmental issues even what type of gloves are best, but about 16 pages long. In Australia it is a legislative requirement to have ready access to a suppliers MSDS that is less than 5 years old. A perirectal pain for those involved in chemistry labs with >3000 chemicals! I am not looking for anyone to scan MSDS's for us...we have several thousand, which I am sure is not unique to those of us in academia... Was all set to purchase one vendor's product but they 'upgraded' and there is currently no access to certain menus on a Mac...and they are not sure when there will be a fix. Many thanks, Margaret Margaret A. Rakas, Ph.D. Manager, Inventory & Regulatory Affairs Clark Science Center Smith College Northampton, MA. 01063 p: 413-585-3877 f: 413-585-3786
