I have not used any publicly availible software, however I worked for a company that had an in house system which was great. Some of the features besides keeping track of quanteties in the warehouse (subtracting out what was sent to production and labs) was a numerical system. Each diget in the chemicals number refered to something (for me the most useful was the last number. 1 was a liquid, 0 an oil, 7 a flake, etc, etc, etc) which assisted in finding it. Other numbers refered to melting points, hazards and the like. I would look into something that includes that feature. It was very useful when looking for supplies. -Andrew On Mon, Jan 18, 2010 at 12:08 PM, List Moderatorwrote: > From: Lisa Bartlett > Subject: Chemical Inventory Software > Date: January 18, 2010 12:02:43 PM EST > > We are looking at chemical inventory software. =A0We are a small scale la b > that needs to manage approximately 3,000 chemicals. =A0Does anyone have > suggestions on chemical management software that worked well for them? =A0Has > any one use or evaluated "Chemoventory" software? > > Thanks, > > Lisa Bartlett > Research Scientist > Cornerstone Research Group >
