My company, Safety Emporium, is
looking for new label/tag suggestions for our product lineup. In
particular, we're looking for designs/needs/applications that are
generally overlooked or address unique
corporate/government/institutional requirements. The kind of label
you might have difficulty finding at one of the major suppliers or have
always wanted but never found. Labels/signs one might buy/need in
small quantities rather than rolls of 1,000.
For
example, a customer recently told us that California vehicle regulations
say that a FIRE EXTINGUISHER INSIDE label such as
http://www.safetyemporium.co
m/?00021 is not sufficient - the label must include an arrow
pointing towards the extinguisher. So we'll be working up a new
set of similar labels that incorporates a detachable arrow.
Likewise, we had a couple different people ask for a 4"
square label that says FIRST AID KIT INSIDE, so we recently started
offering those:
http://www.safetyemporium.co
m/?00600 We'll be expanding that to spill kit, emergency
breathing apparatus, fire hose, and fire hose/extinguisher inside as
well. We will also be offering 2" high magnetic labels for
cylinders that say FULL, IN USE, EMPTY, DEFECTIVE, DO NOT USED, REORDER
etc.
We can't give any monetary rewards, but if
we decide to offer your suggested label as one of our regularly offered
items, we'll certainly be happy to mail you a couple as
thanks.
Some guidance for those willing to help
us out:
We can currently print labels up to 4"
wide and essentially unlimited length.
Labels
can be any shape - rectangular, square, round, oval, die-cut shapes
(stars, etc.)
The label substrate materials
include indoor/outdoor vinyl or polyester, removable vinyl,
glow-in-the-dark, magnetic tape, reflective tape, metallized tape,
cold-weather application, and static cling material (like those they
stick on your windshield at oil change
places).
The colors for vinyl/polyester
background can be white, yellow, red, green, blue, black, brown, gold,
gray, purple, orange, clear, pink, tan, light blue, sky blue, or
ochre.
The print colors can be black, white,
red, blue, green, magenta, yellow, orange. Single color printing
is cheaper and easier to produce than labels with 2, 3, 4 or blended
colors.
Standard headers such as CAUTION,
DANGER, NOTICE etc. are easy to incorporate. Various arrows, PPE
icons, prohibition/warning symbols and HazMat symbols can also be
included.
Think not only of chemical/laboratory
applications, but warehouse, stockroom, maintenance, equipment/asset ID,
quality control, cold room, shop, machinery, valve etc. sorts of uses.
For example, the magnetic tape substrate is easily moved and works
well on industrial pallet racks, but does anyone have a need for stock
printed signs/labels this size?
You can respond
directly to me,
esupport**At_Symbol_Here**safetyemporium.com, or the list (if you think others would be interested in hearing your
suggestion/need/tale of woe/insight). If you want to include a
sketch, that would be swell, too.
Thanks in
advance,
Rob Toreki
