From: Mary.Prisby**At_Symbol_Here**grace.com Subject: Removing mercury from waste stream Date: April 21, 2009 9:59:50 AM EDT (CA) We currently perform pore volume analysis on our product. The waste stream contains hexane, metallic mercury, and trace of oil. The Lab personnel decant the liquid off after the separation occurs with the mercury. The mercury is then shipped off. The liquid is shipped off as a haz waste. However, the mercury level is above 0.2mg/l for RCRA D009 classification. The last TCLP was ~ 0.36mg/l. Does anyone have any suggestions for removal of the last bit of mercury? Thanks, Mary Prisby Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager GRACE Davison 4099 West 71st Street Chicago, IL 60629 773/838-3215 -
