Greetings Fellow AIHA Laboratory Health & Safety Committee members,
It is a requirement of the committee that all members participate! Helping keep our website updated is a great way that you can contribute. The url address is: http://www2.umdn j.edu/eohssweb/aiha
A Brief History of the Website Status: Last year it was believed we would be moving our website to the AIHA server. Our committee web-master, Lindsey Kayman, was directed to send the website files to the national office and then not to make changes to the site. This transition has been delayed and is under review. Meanwhile, we have decided not to wait any longer and update the site immediately.
Your help is urgently needed! We need 2 kinds of help:
1. Many of the links listed in the website have now moved or been discontinued. We need members to identify broken links and identify the new address, if available.
Furthermore, members are asked to make suggestions for new resources (links) that should be listed in each section.
A list of topics that need to be reviewed and the name of the volunteer is kept updated at:
http://www2.umdnj.edu/eohssweb/aiha/administrative/business.h tm#Review
At the moment all sections need volunteers! Please email me back with the name of the section that you are volunteering for. We need all reviews to be completed ASAP and before the conference in May.
2. When was the last time you found or supplied an incident for the website? If it has been more than 3 or 4 years the time has come (wouldn't you agree?). If you don't have a "lessons learned" from your own institution but would like to work on this please contact Lindsey at kayman**At_Symbol_Here**umdnj.edu. She has been "collecting" incidents which need further researching before they can be posted on our site. You can help with this.
I hope you feel as proud of our website as I am and that you want it to stay current & useful. Please "reply" back to this email with the section that you will review and information about when you will be able to contribute a "lessons learned" to the Incident section. If you have any questions on this, let me know.
Kind regards,
Heidi
