Hope the holiday season was good to you and yours. I have a double fold
question for the group and would appreciate any suggestions or ideas you may
have 
 
1.	PPE in labs: We have a policy to wear Personal protective equipment
(PPE) which include lab coats and safety glasses in all research labs. Our
hard science group i.e. Chemistry, polymer sciences would wear them. The
life science group: Biology, Vet and Animal science and psychology tend to
fight the issue citing that they work with plants, and microscopes etc... My
questions: Any of your organizations have encountered these same issues? .do
you suggest individual Chem. Hygiene plans so that the PI can delineate
areas for safety eyewear uses. Ca you suggest any sample of Individual Chem.
Hygiene plan effective to use in a research labs, mostly in the life science
ones?
2.	Lab coats cleaning: Our researchers said they would use their lab
coats more if the lab coats can be cleaned by the institution. Do you have
an inexpensive service on campus for dirty lab coats? We asked they don't
take the contaminated coats home to be cleaned.
