There is no inventory requirement in the OSHA Lab Standard. Other fed. agencies or your local laws may require inventories (eg, EPA Community RTK). MSDSs are also not required for every product in the lab - but any MSDS mailed directly to the lab or Univ. must maintain that MSDS as per HazCom rules.
