There is no inventory requirement in the OSHA Lab Standard. Other fed. 
agencies or your local laws may require inventories (eg, EPA Community 
RTK). MSDSs are also not required for every product in the lab - but any 
MSDS mailed directly to the lab or Univ. must maintain that MSDS as per 
HazCom rules.

I have been told that the OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.1450, 
"Occupational Exposure to Hazardous Chemical's in Laboratories Rule" 
requires that the researcher maintain an inventory of all chemicals in 
the lab. Can someone tell me where it is and what the exact 
requirements are? If it is required what is the best way to maintain it?
