For those of you familiar with acrolein...... The reading I've done on this material indicates that, in addition to its high toxicity and flammability, it can form peroxides and can violently polymerize. My question has to do with peroxide formation. Are peroxides a concern because of the traditional shock sensitivity or is it because the presence of peroxides can initiate polymerization...or both? Do you test acrolein for peroxides, and if so, at what frequency (3 months, 12 months)? Do you have any special handling methods (e.g., ensuring material is "inhibited", using a closed system, or a glove box)? Thanks Larry
