Subject: Desperately seeking speakers!!!
We are very, very close to the due date for abstracts to be submitted
for the New Orleans meeting and we only have two speakers committed for
the symposium on risk assessment and control banding. Please, consider
submitting an abstract for this conference.

If you're wondering if you have anything that others would find helpful,
think about these questions:

* How does your institution prepare workers and/or students for
working in laboratories or production lines?

* How do they analyze the hazards of their work (especially
chemical hazards) and make sure they are using the right kinds of
controls?

*         Is it a philosophy, a process/procedure or both?

* Do you incorporate control banding in this process? You don't
have to use control banding to fit into this symposium. We want to
cover best practices, even if control banding isn't involved.

* If you do use control banding, how do the workers interface
with this? What do they think about it? How does it work?

* What are the limitations? How far can the workers go in
hazard assessment and where do they need to get safety and IH involved?

Please, feel free to call me (information below) if you want to toss
around an idea for a talk.
