Ms. Melgetz,

Unless all users can assume full responsibilities in the event of a toxic 
release,ductless fume hoods should not be used in academic chemical 
laboratories.  For further detailed information, see page 34, volume 2 of 
"Safety in Academic Chemistry Laboratories".  Copies of Volumes 1 and 2 are 
available free from the ACS Council Chemical Safety  Committee of the 
American Chemical Society.
