Subject: Call For Papers - NORM, Boise, Id. June 17 - 20
Friends, please excuse the cross-posting. I have been asked to organize a
symposium for the American Chemical Society Northwest Regional Meeting,
(NORM), held on June 17-20, 2007 in Boise, ID. Our session will be called
"Managing the Chemical Enterprise - Health, Safety and Environmental Issues'
and will feature 20 - 30 minute talks on topics related to the intersection
of chemical use and regulatory compliance. With that in mind, I am seeking
volunteers to make brief presentations on any of the following topics:
* Effective approaches for Lab Std. or HazCom implementation
* Laboratory safety programs
* MSDS preparation and management
* Waste management or minimization programs
* Exposure assessment case studies
* Personal protective equipment use or mis-use
* Spill prevention, spill response and emergency preparedness
stories
Or suggest another topic that you think would be interesting to a group of
your safety minded colleagues. The more practical and real-world oriented
the better. I would be interested in success stories, horror stories,
lessons learned, best practices or anything related to the above topics.
Please understand that budget is very limited. No travel compensation or
honoraria can be offered, so presenters who are local to the area or are
interested in the meeting itself are best.

Your deadline to let me know that you would like to participate is 3/1/2007
(although we have a little time after that to work out the details).
