Dear Colleagues: A research group at one of our off-campus locations will be purchasing stereolithographic, rapid prototyping equipment (SLA) for its dry laboratory on the 8th floor (twelve floors total) of an office building. A meeting is scheduled to discuss equipment operation, materials (epoxy resins) used, post production work, and safety concerns. I will propose installation of standard safety equipment such as local ventilation (for renegade odors) and an eyewash station, but wanted to first solicit the collective wisdom of members who've had experience with SLA labs. Many thanks for your time and help. Regards, Alfred M. Bouziane Environmental Health & Safety University of Southern California
