I'm interested in seeing a written document outlining a process safety review procedure suitable for R&D and process development, i.e. a simplified procedure appropriate for the relatively small scale and early development stage. We have very tight timelines to execute a safety review (within one week). The good news is that most procedures, equipment, and materials are similar from one process to the next. The materials used are generally fairly safe, mainly water, buffer solutions and sometimes small amounts of an acid or base. Second part of my question --- has anyone run into a situation where using the term PHA or Process Hazard Analysis for a simplified hazard review has lead to difficulties with regulatory agencies since it's defined in OSHA 1910.119? Any good alternatives if it has created problems? Thanks, Greg Frank
