This report says the the children are no longer showing symptoms of exposure. Can the effects of mecury poisoning really appear and disappear that quickly? I had the impression that a longer exposure was required to show symptoms, and the effects wore off fairly slowly. Did they really have "symptoms of exposure" or did the children get scared by the adults? This incident does not appear to have made the national news, yet, but I have been told that it has been featured in the local media. -Barbara
