The deadline for postmarking ballots for the bylaws was April 1, so I believe that I am likely to have received all valid ballots by this point. The results are > 205 in favor > 6 opposed > 3 unmarked ballots The next step will be submission of these results to the American Chemical Society's Committee on Constitution and Bylaws, who will review the ballot and results before making the changes official. Several people commented on the challenge of casting a single vote on so many changes at once. This approach was taken at the suggestion of the Committee on Constitution and Bylaws. The CHAS Executive Committee expects to be able to implement item by item voting when electronic balloting becomes an official avenue of conducting division business. Thanks to all who participated in this process! - Ralph Ralph Stuart, CIH CHAS Secretary Environmental Safety Manager University of Vermont Environmental Safety Facility 667 Spear St. Burlington, VT 05405 rstuart**At_Symbol_Here**uvm.edu fax: (802)656-5407
