The Northwest Regional Meeting of the ACS will be held in Reno, NV June
25-28 (meeting information is available at:
http://www.chem.unr.edu/norm06/). Two, half-day sessions on chemical
health and safety topics will be held at this meeting.
One session will be on the topic of hazardous materials management and
will include chemical inventory and tracking, management of hazardous
chemicals (including spill response and cleanup), minimization of
hazards through "green" replacements, and other chemical management
issues. The organizer for this session is Dr. Luis Barthel-Rosa
(luisbr**At_Symbol_Here**unr.edu), who is the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) Chemical
Inventory Coordinator.
The other session is on chemical reproductive health issues and will
include toxicology of reproductive toxins, reproductive health programs,
management of reproductive health toxins, and other issues related to
chemical reproductive health. The organizer for this session is Ben
Owens (www.bowens**At_Symbol_Here**unr.edu ), who is the UNR
Chemical Hygiene/Biosafety Officer.
There are presentation slots available for both of the above mentioned
sessions. Persons interested in participating in either of these
sessions as a contributed speaker are encouraged to submit an abstract
