Always wanting to get source information, I asked a friend of mine who is a Commander in the California Highway Patrol about this idea. Here's his response: "We're not against the idea, but most folks don't have their own name in their phone, so it might be something that is hard for us to use anyway. We do have a computerized system to locate people involved in accidents where they are transported to hospitals and can track arrestees as well. A laminated card next to the driver's license can be useful, but an "in case of emergency" note or sticker on the back of the license might be best...it would be cheap (home computers) and easy to replace if things changed.....we always look for the license.." Pretty practical advice, eh? Stay cool! Debbie Debbie M.
