Subject: PDA Symposium for San Diego ACS meeting
CHAS members
The Chemical Health and Safety Division (CHAS) is planning a symposium
to explore the use of personal digital assistants and similar hand-held
electronic devices as applied to chemical safety issues for the upcoming
San Diego ACS meeting (3/13 - 3/17, 2005). This symposium will focus
on applied aspects, including hardware, software and information
resources. I would especially like to hear about novel uses and success
stories. I know many members have used "wired" and wireless devices to
great effect for a variety of purposes, now is your chance to share your
knowledge.
If anyone has been involved in an interesting project or has
information, tools or techniques to share, please contact me at

directly to OASYS at
http://oasys.acs.org/acs/229nm/chas/papers/index.cgi (submissions
accepted from 8/30/04).
I look forward to many great submissions. CHAS is not able to offer
financial support for participants, but this promises to be an
interesting session and just one part of an overall CHAS program that
will be of great value to anyone involved in laboratory or chemical
safety issues.
