The EPA regulations are generic at best and lead to confusion in relation to waste disposal. I also have a question for the group; Does anyone know how to clean pyrex glassware when you are using wax based samples. I am performing fatty acid and paraffin content analysis on candle samples and I am at a stand-still in relation to how to properly clean soxlet, ehrlemeyer and pipette glassware once the hot wax has been treated with either toluene or methanol in preparation for future use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Charles M. Davis Research Scientist Bureau Veritas 100 Northpointe PKWY Buffalo, NY 14228 716-505-3300 716-308-0165(voc)
